Meet Natalia Miranda
Natalia graduated with the highest honors from Chapman University, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in chemistry. While in high school, volunteering in various settings with children taught her the value of providing an emotionally safe space for youth to express themselves. She also began to recognize the importance of early intervention and family involvement in improving mental well-being, which fueled her desire to work with children, adolescents, and their families as a psychologist. In college, she was awarded twice for her presentations of her research examining perfectionism, emotion regulation strategies, coping styles, and symptoms of anxiety and depression. More recently, she gained clinical experience as a behavioral technician, conducting sessions with children ages 2-9 on the autism spectrum from diverse backgrounds. These experiences solidified her commitment to offering inclusive, individually tailored services for children and adolescents struggling to cope with distress. Currently, she is pursuing a PsyD in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School, Anaheim Campus. She is delighted to be a part of the team at Albert Knapp and Associates as a diagnostic practicum student!
