Sofia Caro

Sofia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned her Master of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School. As a Latina, Sofia is devoted to giving back to her community and is driven to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Throughout her academic and professional experiences, Sofia has developed a passion for mental health advocacy, education, and supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. She has worked to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma through her roles as a Student Wellness Ambassador and President of Active Minds. Sofia has also spent several years mentoring and tutoring children, including at-risk youth, and has gained direct patient-care experience across multiple hospital settings. Her experiences working with students, children, and patients from diverse backgrounds have continued to shape her commitment to compassionate and culturally responsive mental health care. In her free time, Sofia enjoys playing with her two puppies, Stella and Bella, watching sunsets, and playing with Legos.
