Meet Alyssa Florio

Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, in 2020. Alyssa’s dedication to mental health was evident early on, particularly with her skill-based knowledge in Play Therapy and work with family dynamics. After graduating, she further honed her skills in private practice, serving as a life coach for clients with schizophrenia and working extensively with dually diagnosed adults in an IOP/PHP program in Los Angeles, CA. Her commitment to the community shines through her decade-long support for Relay for Life, spending the last three years as a Director of Events for collegiate chapters. In her quest for professional growth, she’s affiliated with associations like CalAPT and the American Psychological Association. Alyssa is currently deepening her clinical expertise at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she’s training to earn her PsyD with a concentration in Child & Adolescent Psychology. With a recent certification in Autism Play Therapy in 2023, Alyssa is excited to contribute and learn as part of her academic and professional journey.
