Meet Ashley Metoyer


Ashley Metoyer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW85663).

Ashley Metoyer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW85663) and has more than 15 years of experience working with youth and families. After receiving her BS in Recreation Management from California State University-Northridge, Ashley earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, graduating with honors. In addition to Ashley’s clinical education, she also has a Master of Public Administration from California State University-Northridge and two graduate certificates in nonprofit management from Texas A & M.

Presently, Ashley is the Sr. Director of Organizational Impact with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Monica, overseeing all programs and operations for the organization. In addition to this role, Ashley volunteers for the City of Los Angeles’ Mayor’s Crisis Response Team, supporting community members who have experienced trauma with emotional support and linkages. Prior to this clinical role, Ashley provided clinical therapy to Victims of Crime youth who experienced child abuse or been exposed to trauma. Ashley is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) and has worked with at-risk populations, including: Probation referred youth, Wraparound DCFS services, substance abuse/use populations and chronic/episodic homeless individuals.

Ashley employs a holistic and client-centered approach, incorporating all of the systems the client interfaces in to develop treatment goals. Focusing on meeting the client where they are at while using a strength-based and solutions-focused approach, she recognizes the importance of empowering the individuals and families that she collaborates with throughout the treatment process.
