Meet Melanie Jambrosic

Melanie Jambrosic is a practicum student in the clinical psychology doctorate program at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Southern California. She received her MS in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the California State University of Long Beach where she also was formally inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society in 2016. She also received her BA in Psychology from the California State University of Fullerton where she made Dean’s list Spring 2010.

Currently, Melanie works in a private practice as an assessment assistant with the main duties of scoring psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of Dr. Lana Delshadi. She has also done behavioral observations for Dr. Delshadi in the school setting to appropriately diagnose children for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Melanie also enjoyed her three-year time as an ABA behavioral interventionist. She provided one on one ABA intervention techniques to children ages two years old up to twenty-one years old diagnosed with Autism and related disorders. Interventions occurred in the client’s homes, schools, the community, the Special Olympics, summer camps, and regular social groups in the office. She received ongoing training in the field and regular supervision in each client’s programs using multiple techniques such as Discrete Trial Teaching.  Melanie thoroughly enjoyed working with these children who ranged from high functioning to severely disabled in communication, motor, and vision. She is happy to provide her skills at AKA and continue to learn and grow. At AKA, Melaine will be supervised by Dr. Albert Knapp.
