Meet Tran Luu
Tran Luu is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, #1-13-13165 and a pre-doc psychological assistant. She received her MA in Teaching with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University. She received her BA in Psychology from University of California: Davis. Tran is a clinical psychology student at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Southern California.
Tran has been working with children and adults in the field of ABA for more than nine years and has been a BCBA clinical supervisor for 4 years. Her experience includes working one-on-one with children in the home, school, and community settings within California and Hawaii. She has experience working with children and adults from all areas of the spectrum, ranging with those who have severe communication, vision, and motor disabilities to others who are higher functioning. Furthermore, she has worked collaboratively with parents as a parent consultant and a supervisor to ensure consistency with program implementation across the board.
She is working to create and tailor communicative devices to suit the needs of clients with visual, motor, and speech impairments. Her experience in the field of ABA also includes conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and administering and scoring the Autism Diagnostic Observation Manual, Second Edition (ADOS-II), Developmental Assessment of Young Children, Second Edition (DAYC-2), Vineland-II, and Vineland III. In addition, she has experience in training Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and BCBA applicants.
It is her love and passion for helping children that have inspired her to enroll in a Psy.D program so that she could gain a greater knowledge base and build a larger tool kit for assessing and treating children who may suffer from other clinical disorders aside from ASD.
Tran is mid-way through her program and has recently completed her diagnostic practicum under the supervision of Dr. Albert Knapp and Dr. Alina Gram.
