Valynn is a Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, AMFT #123049. She received her BA in Psychology at California State University, Northridge and her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northcentral University. Valynn is eager to continue learning more about how she can be of assistance to her community’s youth and their families.

She has experience working in many settings such as residential treatment, probation youth, community based-field work, outpatient mental health, and support/collaborative teams that provided her the opportunity to work with a range of clients. She enjoys serving children, pre-teens, emerging adults, and families by promoting a client-driven treatment approach.  “There are no clear lines in the sind, make a path.” Valynn continues to help youth and their families increase their awareness of innate strengths through using narrative, existential, intergenerational, and collaborative modalities of therapy that places the client and family in the expert role. The integration of different therapies assists her in the work of maintaining flexibility in the therapy room and inviting the clients to choose what is best for them.

During her freetime, Valynn likes to be outdoors. Whether it’s riding biking at the beach, going for a hike, or walking around her neighborhood she loves experiencing the outside beauty alone, or with friends and family. Valynn’s hours are Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  If you feel that you would be a good match please feel free to reach out.
