Music Therapy
Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals such as behavioral, social, psychological, communicative, physical, sensory-motor, and cognitive functioning within a therapeutic relationship. Music therapy is a powerful, non-threatening, and familiar medium which induces unique outcomes through the elements of music. Music therapy provides a variety of music experiences in developmentally appropriate manners not only to effect changes in behavior but also to create a positive environment and to promote successful growth. Music therapy improves one’s quality of life, involving relationships between one individual and another.
Many families are able to access their out of network benefits for music therapy, via reimbursement on a superbill. Our office can verify both in-network and out-of-network.
